Mr Escobar, Yes, I read "or a combination or these two systems" ... but my point stands that free market decisively beats a controlled economy. And yes, I have lived in or visited 30 countries during the past 30 years.

Nope. Incorrect. Tea Partiers have five foundational beliefs that are interconnected: 1-Constitutional compliance, 2-Smaller federal government, 3- States’ rights, 4- Lower spending and taxes, and 5-Individual rights, responsibility, and integrity

Mr Roland, You are exactly right. Government interference caused the housing bubble and the bailouts ... and the free market will solve these ills. We need to get government out of continuous interference.

We are concerned because Social Security revenues have been spent upon everything except a "lock box" -- There is no trust fund, just a big empty box filled with IOUs from the various departments within the Federal Government.

Mr. Cook, I agree. I think Reps and Dems use social issues to distract us from the corruption and fiscal irresponsibility. Tea Partiers are citizens who have learned to focus on the behavior of their elected officials, not their words.
